DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY

I. About the project:

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a therapeutic approach that combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices to help individuals navigate emotional challenges and develop coping skills.

  • The key purpose of this training is to teach individuals, who have little to no experience with DBT, what it is and how to teach staff members to use it to help youth in Juvenile Justice and Youth Services in the State of Utah.

II. The Challenge:

  • Create a comprehensive three day training that is engaging and easy to understand.

  • Create a series of Training Posters to help learners understand key concepts

  • Create printable posters and training materials that can be readily accessed by employees and trainees.

  • Create an online resource catalog of materials for continued learning

  • Create skill of the month pdf documents to refresh and update individuals on skills each month.

III. The Product:

  • Presentation Graphics,

  • Highlight the design elements that enhance comprehension and engagement.






IV. The Result:

  • Demonstrate the online resources created for DBT training.

  • Emphasize user-friendly interfaces, interactive elements, and accessibility features.



V. In-Person Training Assets:

  • Display materials prepared for in-person training sessions.

  • Discuss how these assets complement the overall learning experience.
